Event Overview: Week of the Arctic 2017
Arctic Interchange: Fairbanks, May 8–12
Alaska’s science, policy and business community have come together to celebrate the successes of the U.S. Chairmanship, toast the future of the Finnish Chairmanship, and recognize all the hard work still to do in meeting high goals of environmental protection, sustainable development, inclusion of indigenous peoples and international cooperation. Join us in Fairbanks and learn more about the University of Alaska Fairbanks, America’s Arctic university and Alaska’s research university.
North by North: Anchorage, May 12–14
Anchorage will host a number of unique activities from May 12–14. These are designed to celebrate the state’s Arctic, share that Arctic with community members, and attract visitors from other Arctic states to learn, exchange and build.
